Tony Mira, Chief Executive Officer
Tony Mira founded a physician practice management company in 1979 and grew the company to become one of the largest in the country. Based on a vision of offering an end-to-end customizable solution to healthcare organizations, Mr. Mira founded the company now known as MiraMed in 2005 through a number of strategic acquisitions in the healthcare revenue cycle industry.
Joe Miserendino, Executive Vice President of Sales
Joe Miserendino oversees all sales and sales support functions for MiraMed Global Services, Inc. With more than 20 years of agency and health care industry experience, Mr. Miserendino provides end-to-end revenue cycle management solutions and has been particularly successful with system conversions, AR clean ups, day one billing projects and purchase portfolio. Prior to joining MiraMed in 2005, Mr. Miserendino was Sr. VP of Sales and VP of Operations for one of the world's largest provider of healthcare receivables management. In addition, Mr. Miserendino was Director of Business Development for two different publicly traded collection agencies. He is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management.
Sharon Hughes, Senior Director of Coding and Audit Services
Sharon Hughes, MBA, RHIA, CCS, Senior Director of Coding and Audit Services for MiraMed Global Services. Ms. Hughes provides supervision, allocation and management of coding and auditing resources. She develops and implements regular, effective education for compliance requirements, technical education and on-going training programs to ensure compliant and accurate coding of all accounts. Prior to joining MiraMed, Ms. Hughes served as a coding and compliance consultant to several large hospital systems throughout the country. Ms. Hughes holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Louisiana State University, a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Information Management from University of Louisiana at Lafayette and holds the title of Certified Coding Specialist from the American Health Information Management Association.
Pat Flanagan, Chief Financial Officer
Pat Flanagan is responsible for the overall financial affairs of MiraMed Global Services, including Financial Reporting, Treasury, Taxes and Internal Control. Mr. Flanagan has been a CFO and CAO at three previous companies and has over 30 years of experience with various organizations, including Health Care, Manufacturing, High-Tech, Real Estate, SEC and Others. Mr. Flanagan spent the early part of his career as a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Flanagan has an MBA from Boston College and is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
